MV Agusta Italy, 1946 - 1980, Expensive & exclusive, the product of Count Domenico Agusta, having inherited his fathers aviation business in 1927, which he developed into a successful enterprise which eventually diversified into helicopters. His great passion was for racing motorcycles which dominated the tracks in the 1950's & 1960's. The first bike was in 1946 which was a 96cc 2-stroke, which was followed by 123cc model, leading into 4-stroke designs. Bigger and better followed until 1977 when ownership passed from the family. Production ceased soon after and the factory closed in 1980.Now owned by Cagiva a new model was launched in 1997.
