Motoguzzi Italy, 1921 - today, Carlo Guzzi formed this company at the end of WW1, having played his part in Italy's Air Corps. Coming from a poor Milanese family, he teamed up with Giorgio Parodi and Giovanni Ravelli, two friends from the Air Corps. It was Carlo who designed the bikes, Giorgio who would find the finance and Giovanni who would ride the bikes to victory in the races. Sadly Giovanni was killed two days after the war in a flying accident and the remaining two went on to build the legendary bikes. The first 1920 bike was bristling with innovation, such as, Unit Construction, Over-square Bore/Stroke, 4 valve OHC and Gear Primary Drive. Notable racing success came first in the German Grandprix and then the IOM TT where both Senior and Junior were won in the same year. The V-Twin became the hallmark of Motoguzzi in the mid 1960's leading to the Le Mans 750cc, 850cc & 1000cc and also the Daytona 1000cc
