November 1999 - Starting Renovation

November 1999, the autumn is here and it is now time to start some serious renovation work. It is time to strip down the frame and repaint it completely.  I will fitting the standard high level exhaust with a peanut silencer. The wheels are to be stripped and the hubs repainted prior to respoking with stainless spokes and new rims. I also plan to polish the engine cases and paint the tank and other metal work.

So 1999 draws to an end with the bike in bits. But this is not the end of the story and you can see how things progressed by clicking on the link below. This page is finished, but the next will go on until the bike is back on the road, and even then the restoration is an on going work of love.
