B50 Oil Feed
The problem with the B50 OIF design, is that the seat tube is lower than the steering head and the oil take-off is at the bottom of the front down tube. This means that the oil in the seat tube never gets used. The oil in the seat tube remains cold and consequently heavier and so stays static.

To remedy this you can fit a take-off & feed pipe from the drain plug (B) and tee it into the main feed from (C).

The parts required are a 3/8" UNF Male brake tube adaptor, 1 meter of 5/16"
oil pipe and an 8mm T-piece.

In the UK the parts are available from Vehicle Wiring Products.

Cat         Description                                  Cost in 2003
B628       3/8" UNF Male brake tube adaptor     £0-73
PVCB8    1 mtr of 5/16" oil pipe                      £1-50
795411    8mm T-piece.                                 £1-90
PPC13     Pipe Clips (qty 2)                            £0-90

                                       Adaptor                                                             Pipe

Tee off under the engine with the main feed.

I used a 3/8" washer on the adaptor then a fibre washer. The washer spreads the load on the fibre washer as it bolts up to the frame.
